Desert Rose is a Christian, licensed medical clinic in Santa Fe. With your support, women and men considering abortion receive compassionate care, accurate medical information, and the hope of Jesus Christ, all at no cost to them.

Our Mission
Desert Rose Women’s Resource Center is a Christian organization whose primary mission is to offer relevant, life-affirming medical information to women and men considering abortion.
What started as a small pregnancy center has grown into a licensed medical clinic, because people like you made it possible.
2009
Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center of Santa Fe opens its doors as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, giving women a real alternative to abortion and walking with them through their pregnancy options, all grounded in faith in Jesus Christ.
2020
We begin using Heartbeat International’s Option Line, so a woman can reach caring support even after our office has closed.
2022
We become a Heartbeat International affiliate, and in July we begin offering Abortion Pill Reversal.
2023
We become Desert Rose Women’s Resource Center, a new name chosen to better reach women and men considering abortion.
Real medical care, freely given
Desert Rose operates as a licensed medical clinic under the direction of our Medical Director, Alana Williams, MD. Dr. Williams is a urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery specialist affiliated with Lovelace Women’s Hospital and Presbyterian Hospital. A licensed physician assistant also volunteers her time with us.

Our affiliations give a small local ministry the training and the medical, legal, and administrative support we couldn’t provide on our own.
Desert Rose began as a Care Net affiliate. Founded in 1975, Care Net is one of the largest networks of pregnancy centers in North America, with more than 1,200 affiliates and 30,000 volunteers.
We joined Heartbeat International, the largest worldwide network of pregnancy centers, in 2022. Its Option Line has provided our after-hours support since 2020.
The National Institute of Family and Life Advocates provides legal counsel, education, and training to more than 1,600 pro-life pregnancy centers, over 1,200 of them licensed medical clinics.
