Movement Makers is a summer internship opportunity for young leaders who want to create change, gain real-world experience, and uplift women and families in our community.
This internship is hosted by Desert Rose Women’s Resource Center and gives students hands-on experience in nonprofit work, community service, advocacy, marketing, fundraising, and client support.
Program Details
Positions Available: 2 interns — 1 male and 1 female
Time Commitment: 4 hours per week
Program Length: 8 weeks, beginning the week of June 15th and ending the week of
Stipend: $500 upon successful completion
Format: On-site at our office behind the Santa Fe Place Mall (4001 Office Ct Dr)
Interns Will Gain Experience In
Marketing & Outreach
Create social media content, promote programs and events, and learn basic branding and messaging.
Fundraising
Support fundraising campaigns, brainstorm creative ideas, and assist with donor appreciation and outreach.
Client Support
Help organize donated goods, prepare resource kits, learn supervised client support processes, and assist with event logistics.
Community Advocacy
Discuss issues impacting women and families, help create awareness campaigns, and participate in community outreach efforts.
Ideal Candidates
Movement Makers is ideal for youth ages 15–19 who are passionate about community service and making a difference. No prior experience is required—just reliability, commitment, and a willingness to learn.
To Earn the Stipend
Interns must attend at least 80–90% of sessions and participate actively.
